"To be Rich, start Young"

The partnership of Young & Rich Investments is composed of John C. Rich, Young Scarborough, and Renee Bolton.

John Rich had a 26 year career as an accountant and was a certified public accountant while working in the electric utiltiy industry.  Twelve of those years, from 1988 to 2000, were spent with the local Kerrville municipal electric company as the Chief Financial Officer.  Part of the duties of the office included being the Chief Investment Officer with the responsibility for a $12,000,000 investment portfolio.  In 2000, John joined A. G. Edwards & Sons in Kerrville.  Before coming to Investment Centers of America, Inc. (ICA), he also spent 3 years with Edward Jones & Sons in Kerrville.  He has been with ICA since April 2005.

In August 2006, Young Scarborough joined the office to bring yet another dimension to our clients.  We began branding our Investment Centers office as "Young and Rich Investments with the motto "To be Rich, start Young".   In addition to Rich's 18 years of investment experience, Young brings 28 years of experience to the office.  Young started his investment career in Houston, Texas with Bache, Halsey, Stuart & Shields in 1980.  In 1992, he became a division manager with independent broker/dealer Advantage Capital and, over the years, built the business into the top producing division in the firm with 47 representatives nationwide.

John & Young are maintaining their partnership as Young has moved to Burnet, Texas to take over the Investment Centers office located in the First State Bank of Burnet.

Renee Bolton was hired in January 2006 to learn the investment business and put her insurance license to work to better help our customers with their overall financial program.  Renee is a graduate of Schreiner University located in Kerrville.  Renee is a valuable asset to our growing office as we continue our long-term presence in the Kerrville Community.
